Combining expert presentations with open discussion, this program is a great opportunity to learn more about Islam and explore ways to better live and work in our multifaith world. Sustaining Excellence in Ministry: Accountability, Friendship and Hope in Peer Groups, November 2-4, 2010. For the last eight years, the Lilly Endowment has funded the Sustaining Pastoral Excellence (SPE) project, focusing on creating peer support for clergy and other church professionals. This conference offers an opportunity to learn about the impact of the Lilly-funded support groups, how to develop and maintain new peer groups, and this projects implications for lifelong learning and professional education for clergy and laity. This event is sponsored in partnership with Bexley Hall Theological Seminary and will be held at the Procter Center in London, Ohio. Learn more here.
Celtic Spirituality for Today: The Spirit, The Earth, and The Human Soul, May 13-14, 2011, with world renowned author, poet and teacher, John Philip Newell. Newell is the author of Listening for the Heartbeat of God and Sounds of the Eternal. This event will be held in Kenilworth, Illinois.
