1. Part I of the application form, completed, together with a payment for $50.00. Please return Part I as soon as possible so that the processing of your application may begin immediately.
2. Your essays-- Part II of the application form.
3. Official transcripts of all academic work after high school. (Please do not send a student copy.) If you are currently in school, have a current transcript sent now and a final transcript following the conclusion of your studies. These should be sent by the institutions concerned to:
Ms. Peggy R. Pearson
Registrar
Seabury-Western Theological Seminary

Evanston, IL 60201
Note: in cases where transfer credit was accepted by a previous school, please request a transcript from the school where the courses were originally taken.
4. Three or four letters of reference as specified on Part I of the application (forms must be sent by the applicant to the referees).
Reference requirements: your references must include someone who supervises, or has supervised your work; a peer; and someone with whom you minister and/or supervise. You may also send a reference from a faculty member (optional).
Note that the waiver statement on the application and on each reference form requires your signature and an indication that you either "waive" or "do not waive" the right of access under provisions of the “Family Rights and Privacy Act” of 1974.
REMINDER: Applicants are responsible for asking for and providing reference letters. Give each of your recommenders a reference request form. Recommenders sign and return the form to Seabury-Western Theological Seminary along with their reference letter (the letter should be printed on a separate page from the reference form).
5. (International Students Only) Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). International students should take the TOEFL. If you have already taken the exam, arrange to have your score report sent directly to Seabury-Western Theological Seminary. Minimum acceptable score: 570 (written), 230 (computer), 80 (Internet). If you have not taken the exam, please make arrangements to do so and record the testing date on your application.
